ABOUT
Jan Kickinger is a cabinet maker and architect (not licensed in the US) now based in Pennsauken, NJ. Born and raised in the suburbs of Berlin, Germany, Jan developed a deep fascination for understanding the context of form and function in objects early on, which led him to bring a unique perspective to his craft. His particular passion lies in organic shapes and natural materials, with a special focus on wood.
Following his formal education, Jan completed a two-year apprenticeship as a construction joiner and cabinet maker in Germany. In 2000, he earned his degree in architecture from the Berlin University of Technology (BHT). Jan then dedicated nearly two decades to the fields of urban planning, urban redevelopment, and the preservation of listed historical buildings in Berlin and Potsdam.
In late 2019, Jan relocated to the US, where he established his own home services and improvement company. Specializing in furniture assembly, kitchen and closet remodeling, and art installation, he proudly serves the Philadelphia and South Jersey areas.
